Insurance · correspondence

Treat every claim communication as part of the file.

Know who contacted you, what they requested, what you sent, and which deadline they gave—without guessing or signing what you do not understand.

01

Create a contact log

For each call or message, record the date, person, company, claim number, topic, requested documents, and next step. Keep copies of what you send. Read your own policy and declarations page.

02

Be precise

Describe what you know. Avoid speculating about a diagnosis, fault, or recovery timeline. If you do not understand a request, ask for an explanation in writing. Before signing a release, understand exactly which claims it resolves.

California consumer help
